Rain

The weather in Vancouver is back to normal --Rain! The rain always makes me depress. But it is a good chance for me to enjoy staying home to get some housework done and do some reading. I went to library to borrow a lot of vedios in case I decide to stay home the whole weekends. But I didn't watch them yet. This time the rain do me some good because I finnally get to something I wanted to do long time ago - make some teaching materials. This weekend I started to work on it. Friday night I had a nice chat with Dongdong and my father online. Saturday, suprisingly we got a nice day and I went to Richmond night market again before it close for this year. Last weekend will be the last weekends for the night market, but who knows what the weather is going to be like. Fall is coming, I like the scenery of the leaves are falling, but I really don't like the rain. Still fall is one of my favorite season because the colorful leaves. In Vancouver, the four seasons are all my favorite, disregarding the rain. I love the flowers in spring, the outdoors in a sunny day in summer, the leaves in fall and the snow in the winter. Vancouver is an amazing city!

First week of School

School started last week after the summer vacation. My life is getting back to normal - busy schedule again. I'm kind of exciting to be with the kids again after 2 month rest. I worked in a summer camp part time for a month during my break, but the feeling is different. Probally from next week or the week after, I will schedule to tutor Vangh Mandarin again. Then I can say my work life is totally get back to normal. I hope I can manage to keep up with my blog every weekends even if I can't update it during the week. This weekends I didn't go walking or biking. I went looking around in different stores. Can't believe that all the Halloween stuffs are already there. I bought a few Halloween finger Puppets for story telling.

Probally I need to buy Halloween costume for the coming Halloween party. We may visit the pumpkin patch too. Can't wait !!

Labor Day Long weekends

Unfortunally, all the camp ground near Vancouver are full and we don't have luck to get in the first come first serve camp site. There goes the camping plan! :-(

But in such a nice summer holiday, it is still a pleasure to stick around Vancouver. I went to the Queen Elizabeth Park.

Richmond Night market: it is so crowded there, reminding me of China. :-)

The trip to the Lighthouse Park in West Vancouver is wonderful too. It is my first time to visit the park. I enjoy the Natural house in the park. I think it would be great if we have a natural room like this in our school.

On the labor day, I went walking along the False Creek with a group of friends. It is a great experience for me. It make me feel I'm a tourist in Vancouve. The trip gives me an answer for "why Vancouver is one of the best cities in the world?"
